What’s an artist proof?  It is an official game card that is provided to the original artist that has a blank backing.  This allows the official artist responsible for the original art of the card to hand draw their own designs on the back.  Some pieces come pre-sketched and some are done by request.  The quantities of these cards are extremely rare, and in most cases, there are less than 50-100 available, depending on the rarity of the card type, worldwide.
